Disable the loading circle

Since VR Sync 3.5.0, we introduced "Exact Sync". Before version 3.5.0, devices could in some cases be several seconds out of sync with each other. This was in large part due to the variable time to load a video per device. In 3.5.0, devices will usually be within 100ms of each other, and at most 300ms. This makes it much more reliable to synchronize external hardware such as surround sound, or motion platforms.

As part of this new system we have had to implement a warmup time before the video starts, to give all devices ample time to fully load the video. This is why since 3.5.0, you will see a loading circle filling up for 5 seconds after sending a play command. If you would prefer to lose exact synchronization, and instead revert to pre-3.5.0 behaviour of no delay and no loading circle, please follow these steps:

  1. Download the following configuration file: https://vrsynccontent.blob.core.windows.net/assets/vr_sync_configuration.json
  2. Paste the file into the VRSync folder on your device like in the image below
  3. Restart the VR Sync app
